Born in Malta, Alpio immigrated to the United States as a child. He began his tire industry career in 1969 as a part-time installer. In 1985, he became a partner at Redwood General Tire in Redwood City, California, eventually taking sole ownership in 2000. His dedication led to him being honored as Tire Dealer of the Year by Modern Tire D

His dedication led to him being honored as Tire Dealer of the Year by Modern Tire Dealer in 2016. Combining his passion for automobiles with business, Alpio established Alpio's at Troon in Scottsdale, Arizona—a 1950s-style diner showcasing his car collection and serving as a unique event venue. The venue features classic cars, vintage memorabilia, and offers a distinctive setting for various events.
